Every morning, after turning on the oven to bake croissants and baguettes, I squeeze fresh oranges to serve you a delicious glass of fresh juice.
I then slice some pieces of grey bread and a more wholesome ‘Probody’ bread.
On the table, you will find five types of organic jam: strawberry, fig, cherry, rhubarb, and orange marmalade. Additionally, there are five more spreads for your toast: Nutella, speculoos spread, honey, Liège syrup, and dark chocolate sprinkles. Drinks: coffee, classic Earl Grey tea, green tea, or a large bowl of hot chocolate. Milk is available hot or cold upon request. A carafe of water and apple juice from my garden’s apples are also at your disposal.
Fresh eggs – laid by my four free-range hens – are prepared to your liking: soft-boiled, fried with or without bacon, accompanied by a small bowl of cherry tomatoes (depending on the season).
A cheese platter usually includes slices of Gouda, a soft cheese like Caprice des Dieux, and a stronger cheese like Comté.
A cold cuts platter offers cooked ham, smoked Ardennes ham, and salami.
My homemade yogurt is delicious, served with homemade compote and a crunchy mix of hazelnuts, almonds, and raisins. For a more classic option, I offer cereals: muesli with 30% seeds and fruit or Kellogg’s with red berries.
Three types of fine sugar are available: amber cane sugar, refined white beet sugar, and brown candied sugar.
Regarding fresh fruits, depending on the season: at the moment, you will find oranges, mandarins, bananas, apples from my garden, white grapes, dates, and even lychees.
To end your breakfast on a sweet note, I offer slices of homemade cake and a Matton tart – a puff pastry with almonds, a local specialty.
